Some of my earliest and fondest memories are those with my grandfather in his orchid shed or poking around his garden. My Dad also used to grow vegetables when we were younger and so, I guess, the bug is in my DNA.
I really started to get into growing vegetables about five years ago and during that time there have been moments when I have almost yelled “I wished someone had told me that before now”. That’s what I hope I can save you from.
I thought about writing a book but I thought this is more user friendly and focused on peoples problems or successes. Most garden books and advice seems to tell you how to put the things in the ground but not much else after that. It’s the time after the plants are in that is crucial to your success and when questions arise. I don’t have a big garden and so plants that get to live here need to work hard and do what I expect them to do.
I just wanted to make sure that you know that there is a real person behind this site and if you have a question that has gone unanswered let me know and I’ll do my best – that way we’ll all learn. Thanks for stopping by I appreciate it immensely. Happy growing.
